Improved Diagnoses
“Sometimes when we do a physical examinations we believe there is enough bone structure there to place an implant, its only sometimes after you take a 3D image that you find out well there’s not as much bone there as I thought was there, and so it changes your treatment planning – either a need for a bone graft or a different technique that you would use to place the implant or reposition the implant in an area that you didn’t think you needed to place an implant. So, certainly from the treatment planning standpoint its invaluable to have this tool."
-Dr. Thomas D. Berry

“3D visualization of orthodontic problems is something we used to reserve for only the most challenging of problems due to cost and radiation exposure. The 9000 allows us to use site-specific 3-D technology to not only treat the most complex problems, but also to improve diagnostic capability of the routine problems we treat each and every day – impactions, eruption problems, virtual implant placement, etc… The footprint of the machine is similar to a traditional pan/ceph machine and it has been a seamless transition in moving it into our office.”
-Mark Yanosky, DDS, MS

"Our experience with the KODAK 9000C 3D System has been and continues to be very exciting, and its utility in all aspects of dentistry is dramatic. Specifically, we have been able to strengthen our diagnostic and treatment decisions based largely upon the superb three dimensional imaging produced by this radiographic system while minimizing the overall patient exposure time.

We have been especially pleased with its versatility in limited/comprehensive orthodontic cases, impactions and surgical planning for correction of these problems, multidisciplinary cases including implant placement, temporary anchorage treatment planning and placement, craniofacial anomalies including cleft lip and palate, and the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint related problems, specifically those dealing with skeletally related problems.

In short, the KODAK 9000C 3D System significantly creates a new benchmark for intraoral radiography and evidenced-based dentistry, and unquestionably strengthens our diagnostic confidence level. Currently, we are developing case-based reports on the broad variance of clinical problems being diagnosed and treated in our clinic and simultaneously applying this new imaging knowledge to our educational and patient care protocols.”

-John W. Stockstill, DDS, MS and Daniel Levy-Bercowski, DDS, MSD - Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA

“With the highest resolution and the most comprehensive and intuitive software, I have improved my pretreatment assessment and operative success. I have less exploratory procedures and greater case acceptance. Now that I have the KODAK 9000 3D System, I cannot imagine my practice without it!”
-Dr. Curtis J. Brimley
Riverton, UT

“The KODAK 9000 3D System has allowed me to practice at the highest level of endodontic diagnostic quality. In two months, I have seen four cases with periradicular infection that did not present on the two dimensional radiograph. The KODAK 9000 3D System has also improved my surgical ability by allowing me to see in great detail where the periradicular infection is located and the surrounding critical anatomy.”
-Reid V. Pullen, DDS

“How did we perform endodontic therapy without it? The KODAK 9000 System has offered us a tremendous advantage with diagnosis and treatment over conventional radiographs.

The 3D image makes it possible to see the extent of periapical lesions, calcified canals and missed canals can be detected more efficiently, the extent of resorptions and perforations are much more visible, and fractured teeth in traumatic injuries are easier to detect. It is a fantastic diagnostic tool for endodontic retreatment, pre-surgical treatment planning, and other cases that are diagnostically challenging.”

Time Savings
"Time savings, I think, has been significant. There are procedures that all oral surgeons do that they wanna take a quick picture of something, an apicoectomy, an implant, something like that, when you don’t want to sit there and wait 5 to 10 minutes if you’re just doing a real quick check of something. And you know that you can get an immediate picture back you can modify what you were doing if necessary or even move forward. So, it really is a very big time saver. "
-Dr. Samuel J. Rozook, II

“The KODAK 9000C System has expanded my diagnostic resources to include three dimensional regional imaging. Now I can quickly and accurately take low radiation views of any tad placements, local pathology, root interferences, impacted teeth and condylar morphology and then communicate confidently to my patients with or without a radiologist’s evaluation.”
-Robert L. Waugh, DMD

“Cone beam CT technology is an endodontist’s dream, particularly in retreatment and surgical cases. Having the ability to view root form and canal anatomy in three dimensions, as well as identifying the precise location and extent of periradicular lesions, give the clinician a huge diagnostic and treatment advantage. Other benefits include precise pre-operative visualization of resorptive defects, perforations and root fractures, which can help prevent costly dismantle and diagnostic exploratory procedures.

The KODAK 9000 System with its five centimeter focused-field view, offers all the information an endodontist needs and eliminates unnecessary structures beyond the area of interest, giving the highest resolution images available at the lowest radiation. In endodontic practice, the KODAK 9000 System is a game-changer.”
